i canceled my order after checking out the youtube clips (quite a few of them) of folks having video card issues with the geforce 8400.
overheating seems to be the problem.
is there anyone with a intel intergrated 3100 video card that have the same issue?
should i buy a mac book and save myself some heartache?
-
i think it really depends on whether you'll be using the laptop for gaming or not.... in my case, i won't be doing any gaming whatsoever, so i decided to simply stick with the X3100 and save me all the possible future hassle.
However, if you DO want to game then i would take the risk and get the card. In a worst-case scenario you will have to ring dell, but in a couple of days at most you'll be back up running -
OP you have two choices.
1. If you game, you need the 8400GS
2. If you don't game, you need the X3100
Simple enough, and the X3100 plays hi def movies like a champ and all that other stuff awesome.
If there was a choice in the M1530 i would of taken the X3100. -
yeah. i won't be doing hardcore gaming.
i just want it to run mp3 dj applications (torq) and a few music programs
so was wondering if anyone with 3100 card had any issues.
it seems as if that the design of 1330 itself is not well ventilated.
having a hot potato on your lap and then having the screen and system crash (like on those youtube clips) has me second guessing. -
No there is no issues with the intel graphics card.
It also produces less heat.
Nothing to worry about, you will be all set.
1330 overheating problems - 8400 or 3100?
