I intend to buy this laptop, but I'm having some problems with the specs they mention and with the resonses from their tech support.
My problem is the resolution, which they list as 1400x900 and their tech support said it is 1400x900. I highly suspect they just looked over their own product page and made the answer up, because I can't find any dell panel with this kind of resolution. Also, the 1400x900 doesn't match up with any of the standard wide-screen resolutions: 16:10, 16:9 or even 4:3.
So my question is, is it possible that a XPS M1530 has the 1400x900 ? Or it's just a spelling error from their part, and If i order it i'll get the 1440x900 as I want.

It's WXGA+, which is 1440x900. Guaranteed.

Yes, it's quite possible that it has a resolution of 1440X900.
My 15.4 inch (it's a MacBook Pro) is 1440X900. It's 16:10.
It's quite the low resolution for a 15-incher, though. Well, in my opinion, anyway.
Edit:
Btw, 1440/16 is 90.
90 times 10 is, well, 900
So it's 16:10
Edit number two:
I just realised you write "1400x900", not "1440x900". The former has to be a typo. It's 1440, not 1400 as they write. -
Thanks all for the anwers. I've been searching for two days for laptops with 1400x900 and haven't mananged to find any with a 15.4". But if their tech support confirmed the 1400x900 i thought maybe they are right, but it seems they don't bother to check the laptop's box.
Thank you all again. -
The resolution is 1440x900. I think the "1400" is just a typo.
