    1530 + PowerDVD 8 ultra + 21 (bluray) = hanging

    Anybody having the same problem or know of any fixes (alreddy upgraded to latest cyberlink patch)? Is it working with media direct cuz if so I will put it back on the xps. tnx in advance!

    Did you install a graphics driver other than the one the m1530 had preinstalled?

    i try to play BR-DVD using powerDVD8 ulta it works great....no hanging at all.

    but i uninstall powerDVD since Media Direct is free and can play BR.

    Media Direct 3.5 would not play newer BDs like Jumper. It would read the disc and kinda hang there with a purplish screen. Got the updates, and they did not good. Tried PowerDVD, it did the same thing. I installed AnyDVD HD and then things started working.

    I have a copy of Media Direct 4.0 which might fix the problem. Just need to install it and test.

    just so you know, i watched Jumper (BluRay) using MD3.5 and it works great.

    maybe i got ANYDVD HD thats why it works with MD (?)

    Same issue here. works with MediaDirect, works also with powerdvd 7 but not working in powerdvd8. Starts the movie fine until main menu then play movie and gets only a black box in the middle.
    Have Anydvd..installed latest patch.... I want DTS hd so I want to play in 8 ultra..... :mad:
