Where is a good place to purchase a 9cell battery for the 1530 model online? I found one for $300 and then one for $100 on some other site. I was wondering why the huge gap in price and what would be a good, trustworthy site to buy one from.

Theres a batch of them on eBay right now for 73$ Canadian, shipping from Hong Kong, I was wondering the same thing that you are, seems strange.

As far as batteries are concerned, I would always prefer (and as I learnt around here too) that its got from the your manufacturer or get one with an OEM on it....

The $300 one might be a Dell one and the $100 one is a no name. The no name ones are a crap shoot. You could get a good one or you could get a crappy one. Lithium batteries can actually explode and catch fire if they are poor quality. For such a price difference I would probably be willing to give it a try though.

    Doesn't really matter

It's like car parts they are outsourced.....like for example:: In google type in Dell's sony batteries

You'll get a bunch of articles on how the sony batteries that Dell outsourced where faulty.

Bottom line---Dell doesn't make batteries..other people do and they buy them from them

Yes, let us know...I am curious! :)

Also, looks like maybe if you order fairly soon ~ the delivery may coincide with the arrival of your 1530, perhaps?!

The first battery they sent had a minor crack so would not work. They replaced it and the new one works great.

Great customer service. I would definitely recommend them for both batteries, mice and keyboards.
