I have an xps 1530 with a complete care warranty. I recently dropped it and messed up the left corner. It's kind of pushed in and rippled/cracked now. The lid doesn't come all the way down and it won't go into sleep mode. The computer over all looks ok, but here's my real question.

If my computer is damaged enough to warrant a replacement, what would it be replaced with? As the 1530 is no longer in production, I would imagine they'd replace it with a 1640. Anyone else have experience with this recently?

they still have enough parts/refurb laptops to give you a m1530 if they want to, but you could press the case for 1640... though i doubt it, especially if you're claiming accidental warranty

^^Yup as stated you will prob's be getting a 1530 (as long as they have the same specs' (parts for your 1530), in stock. Otherwise, you would really have to put in some good pressure to be bumped to the latest model (1640).
