so ive had the m1530 for about 7 months now and everythings going fine when i decide to burn a cd. the wizard adds all the data but wen i open the cd its still empty. i then used roxio on another cd and no bytes are transfered during the buring process and eventually an error pops up. ive only burned a cd once before and it worked fine then.mind you it reads all cds just fine. so my question is firstly how can i check wht is wrong with the optical drive and secondly are these things covered under the warranty.

What are you on??? Vista or XP??? *asking this because I have seen people who got in XP on had some issues with the optical drive*
And have you tried reinstalling Roxio?? -
Yes , I got the same recently and i called up Dell and got a Replacement for the Drive as this is Hardware issue
