hey does anybody else experience poor wireless reception? i've got the intel abgn card and i get terrible reception. i'll put my 4yr old b/g laptop next to my 1530 and the old mitac will get strong signal but my 1530 will be pulling up absolutely nothing. i'm using the 11.1.1.22 8/07 drivers bc the newer ones were giving me blue screens of death.

Do a ping test on both notebooks.

Then do a www.speedtest.net on both notebooks. I dont usually trust the windows reception bar. Check your router aswell on the connection quality.

Did you open the case or add ram?... On all laptops there is a tiny wire plugged into the wifi card on the mother board that goes to the antenna... if it gets unplugged or jiggles loose your reception goes to crap...
