    15Z outputting image on the Mini Displayport to Dual DVI-D issue.

    I recently purchased the cable below to use with my new monitor. Catleap Q270(27" 2560 x 1440) display. Monitor only has a Dual DVI-D display and my laptop has a Mini Display Port. I can' t get it to work with my dell 15Z, 14Z, no a Beats Audio Laptop which all have Mini Display port. The only laptop it works with is my Mac Book Air. I am very confused.
    Does this cable only work with Apple products? And if so, which other cable should i try? I also tried to connect VIA Dual DVI-D with HDMI adapter with no luck.
