just wanted to ask if anyone here knows about a direct successor of the studio xps 16 ?
for my purpose the 16" RGB panel is just perfect, at least size-whise ;D

15.6" is basically the same as 16". Not much of a size difference.

well actually when i hold it next to my 15.6" studio 1558 laptop my 16" rgb screen looks significantly bigger and i dont need to zoom into texts that much and stuff...
so for me still a 16" would be ideal i guess...

The RGB was no doubt a beautiful panel but size wise its .4" larger, not that noticable. I would say with the XPS 15 and 17 there will not be a 16" this go around, 16" is a niche market.

Well the XPS 17 doesn't appear to be available with anything higher resolution than 1600x900, so I don't see how it could possibly be a replacement for the SXPS 16 with 1080p RGBLED display. Hopefully when Sandy Bridge starts making its way into laptops, Dell will have a decent refresh...
