I have noticed the hinges are really tight and it takes two hands to open it. 1 to hold the bottom and one to lift the screen. Will this get better over time or do i just live with it?

Mine is not that tight, but yeah, I fear I might crack the plastic of the "edge-to-edge" display around the area of the webcam (where I usually put my thumb when opening it) over time.

I'm glad it's tight, feels stronger and less likely to break.

it should wear off with use, mine was a bit like that, but with some months of daily open-close its now soft :D

and no i dont think you can break it by opening it, the pastic is put over a metal frame and the screen, so even if it does sink a little when you put force on it, it has that frame to support it.
