After 10 months of smooth sailing the worst has happened. I know I should send it back to Dell Cause I'm still under warranty with like 5 weeks left but the thing is I ordered the machine from Malaysia and live in Thailand. Even though its not so far the shipping cost is crazy.

I'm looking for tech savvy advice on if I should get it fixed locally if its not a big problem or if I should just ship my baby out to the proper channels.

I was playing starcraft maybe a little over an hour into game play when the system just shut down on me. When I try to power it up the only thing that happens is theres a split second power up on screen (just slightly brightens up, no logos or anything). Theres no response from the lights of the media buttons or the drive starting up. I don't know what the problem is but it seems pretty serious. Can anyone fill me in on what may have happened to it?

The system has never been dropped, bumped or looked at wrong. Almost always is running with a cooler and breaks are taken if it seems too hot. Bios and drivers updated often. There were absolutely no problems before this, I took good care of it but it still fizzled on me....

Check all of the fans to make sure they're not blocked.

Also, I've never tried it, but see if you can unplug the battery and just boot it up connected to the AC.

Yea, I've tried a bunch of things with the battery and the A/C but still no luck. After combing through troubleshooting sites i think it comes down to motherboard, but I'm still searching like crazy to to find a ray of hope that it isn't that bad of a problem.
