My laptop is about 10 months old now and still running like a champ. Even though i have it on for extended hours i try not to play games on it for too long. But final fantasy 14 is probly gonna change that. My room mate and I were hardcore FF11 players clocking in crazy hours in the game, if we weren"t asleep we were playing.

My question to other 1645 owners is if you have had any issues with extended gaming. Any performance issues or degredation from when you first got the laptop? I'm scared I'll blow up my laptop in a few months.

My temps run around 55-62c with normal use and 75-78c while gaming. It use to not run this hot when i first got it, thats pretty much the only difference in performance over this 10 month time frame but thats not really a big deal. A big deal would be playing while it cooks itself into the toilet.

Is it safe to push this machine to the limit even though it has heating issues? Can i go hardcore or should I limit myself?

78C is nowhere near "the limit". As long as you CPU stays under 90C for the majority of your gaming, and the GPU stays under 90C you should be fine.

I've used my 1645 to game for hours and hours with no end, so don't worry :) As long as you don't experience throttling, then you're good to go.
