    I thought the same thing but I have a laptop sleeve designed for a 15" laptop that fits my 1640 really well.

    Depth: 10.02" (254.6mm)

    So the second bag (14" by 12") will not fit it, but not sure about the first one (15" by 11.5").
    As previously stated, I would recommend asking the seller.

    NEW 5dot Eco-Lite 16" Messenger Laptop Bag

    its from dell, $20 on ebay.
    the bag is good overall except the hooks get loose easily, i had this messenger bag fell to the ground 3 times already in 1 month of usage but the computer didnt suffer any dent from the falls.
