I ran the test at can you run it and it looks like my 4670 is a bit under powered. Anyone else sweating the 4670 running Starcraft 2?

I ran the sc2 beta Phase 1 at 1920 x 1080 all medium so it should run fine on the 3670 + p8600

Basically, the game will run great unless you set the shaders to high (or Ultra, or Extreme SSAO, obviously). You can crank up the CPU settings but the shaders are going to have to be left at medium unless you like playing at low resolution.

Unless of course, the actual game has significantly better performance than the beta.

Edit: I should add that you can put the texture quality on ultra with (seemingly) no reduction whatsoever in fps, even when compared to low. The beta version still looks "great" even though you can't max out all the settings.

Awesome, thanks. Makes me feel a little better. I really don't have any problems with games now, but I was just worrying a little.

Ran the beta at medium settings @ 1920x1080. Had no noticeable lag...although I'm on a 1645.

Just wanted to point out that in the last days of the beta, a patch was released that significantly improved my FPS. Of course, that's on my desktop, so its impact on FPS for you may differ, but you should be just fine running the game as long as you don't insist on Ultra settings on everything :) Good luck, and see you in SC2!
