I've tried the stock drivers Nvidia has released for the 8700M SLI's, 195.55s and now the 195.62s and at least once or twice a day my screen flickers black for a few seconds, comes back and I get a tray balloon mention that the "Windows display drivers stopped working and recovered".

Does anyone have a suggestion for some stable drivers for the 8700M SLIs in this laptop or is this a sign of my GPUs going bad? These are stock drivers, mind you. Not forceware.

Hate to say it, but it very well could be the GPUs starting to fry. Have you been monitoring temps or seeing artifacting in game? If temps are fine (post in the M1730 OL for a baseline on temps) and no artifacting yet, be sure to watch for it. Prior to my M1730 GPUs failing I started seeing NV Display driver issues quite a bit. Artifacts starting popping up in-game shortly after.

    Is you warranty active?
