    2015 XPS 13 SSD Information

    I had to call Dell to order a replacement laptop and may consider replacing the SSD at some point in the future. In terms of the drive itself, what do I need to know about replacing this SSD?

    I tried to find information online, and have gathered that I would need an M.2 drive of some sort, but I'm not sure where to go from there. The drive currently installed in my computer is a Samsung SSD PM851 M.2 2280 256gb.

    I assume any M.2 2280 drive would work, though there aren't many choices out there due to the relatively new form factor.

    Just remember the screws on the bottom are torx type.

    I hope there will be more replacement SSD options by the end of the year, especially from Samsung with self-encryption feature.
    To anyone who takes their Dell XPS 13 2015 apart to replace the SSD, please let know difficult it was.
