    Gday
I want to purcahse a dell 24 inch flatscreen external monitor for my dell xps 1530 just becasuse I feel like staring at a bigger screen . This one I am looking at is full HD at $349AUD from dell outlet australia. Will never get full HD as I dont have a blueray player installed. Any way , will this work out OK or will the graphics card struggle with this moniter ??

No Problem with it at all I should think. My screen built into my M1530 is 1920x1200 with beautiful results.

you'll have problems running games at that resolution. But as for everyday stuff i you will be fine.

Games at a high res will not work if they are recent, playing games from a few years ago at the high res work great. HD video works very well, and never had a problem with windows.... then again I am also running XP and not vista.

Well I usually run my games at 1300 by 600 (I think) If I can with antialiasing turned off and some detail set to max , works 95 % of the time. So it should lok OK at this res on the monitor or will it be blurry ??

I play CallofDuty4 on a 24inch, not too bad on high res (1920x1080) but it's laggy.. so bring it down 1 or 2 res.

If you purchase, can you please post some pics of it with your 1530?? I would like to see it (and I'm sure other 1530 owners would, also) :D

    Cin ;) :)

dont worry about the graphics card outputting at FULL HD as BluRay/video content/web browsing... its fine... people who have m1530+BluRay use it to connect to their 1080p tv and it outputs 1080p fine

its just gaming... u need at least a 9800 to play 1080p gaming

On my M133O, I typically use a combination of 2 of the following: 1280x1024, 1680x1050 and 1920x1080 INSTEAD of the built-in panel, or one of the above IN ADDITION to the built-in flat panel.

You should have no problem running just one 24" panel, with or without the internal panel enabled.

I wont be playing games at the screens native resolution. Im not obsessed about that like others. The games look fine these days at lower resolution any how Fear 2 Project Origin looks and plays great at 1300 by 1024. And the screen at dell outlet went , wasnt quick enough , oh well it was only 100 bucks difference anyhow.
    Get it shortly

Oh , I watch and play stuff on a 52 inch sony LCD TV via the 6 pin VGA on the side so this one should be OK.
