I got a Dell Studio 1555 computer that runs Vista.

It has a ATI Radeon 4570 graphics card, which supports 2560x1600 resolution.

I have a 30" Samsung Syncmaster 305T which also supports that resolution. I know it is not a monitor issue because this works properly on my other computer.

I connect the monitor to the laptop with a HDMI/DVI adapter.

However, when I do this I can only get 1280x800 resolution. I spent 3 hours trying to fix it with no results.

How do I fix it so that I get the 2560x1600 resolution?
