I just noticed these dead pixels, and I was wondering if I created these by misuse or if it came as is from day 1. is it possible to damage and create dead pixels?

are dead pixels pretty much common in laptops or are these rare? i am trying to see if its something i should return to dell or if i should just live with it.

Are the dead pixels an indication that the screen is failing or going to get worse?

Dead pixels, unfortunately are just a fact of life sometimes. Unless you were beating on the screen, it's very unlikely that you caused the damage. Most LCD manufacturers even have a clause that states they will not consider an LCD defective unless it has X amount of dead pixels(Usually starting at about 7). This definitely sucks, as you would think with the advent of modern manufacturing they would be able to guarantee zero dead pixels, but unfortunately this isnt the case. And lastly it doesnt mean your display is failing. I have an LCD rear projection TV that developed 3 dead pixels a year after I got it and other than the said pixels, has been working perfectly ever since(4 years).

Dead pixels are usually found as soon as you start it up the first time. Pixels dying after use is uncommon, it usually takes years for pixels to die. It does happen though...

    Is it dead or stuck?

Just in case you don't know the difference dead = black, stuck = any other color. I had a pixel stuck on red for about 2 days and it went away naturally.

1 pixel is just bright 24/7, the other 2 are blacked out... dead.

and no, print screen only shows information on the screen, it cant reproduce the actual dead pixels for others to see cause its only native to my screen.

i guess ill just live with it.... unless it gets worse
