Now if only they supposed Windows x64.
-
Check the first post. I have added the Information -
-
For anyone who has tried these, what do they fix? Any differences?
-
Well, I have to try it out this evening (no laptop with me at work today!!)... Though the dell fixes descipt. just has "initial release' in it....
-
How did you manage to find 64-bit XPS M1530 drivers on their site?
-
Edit:
LOL... Wonder where Dell got these drivers from or what is special about them! Wish they give some more info. than just 'initial release'!!
Both nVidia ( http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html) and laptopvideo2go ( http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showforum=99) don't seem to list these versions.. Or I couldn't see them as much as I searched!!! LOL..... Anyways. Have to try it out later. -
Im interested to see how well these work. Right now I'm using 167.55 from LV2Go.
-
well, I have installed this new driver, and to be honest, I don't see any major difference.. everything looks the same for me... But may be it fixes some issues like stuttering, lag, frame rates or similar, with some specific games and such.. this I don't know.

Here are the temp' (room temp 20 C)
Edit: Also, no issues with log-off screen or back n forth... why do you ask?
Edit 2: My friend has started playing COD4... till now he is happy. No issues. -
Because with the last few drivers I've been having that problem with the logoff screen, ill see if this resolves it tonight when I get home
-

These drivers seem pretty solid, I'm going to spend most of the day testing them (building a custom x64 Vista image), so far so good though. UT3, CoH, COD4, NFS:MW and NFS:U2 all working perfectly fine.

If you play Farcry 2 with this driver you are going to have a message "Your graphic driver is way too old, please update it to the latest driver" lolz
I've see no improve in this driver, same temperature (max load 72oC), even a bit slower in FPS in Farcry 2. Anybody have a benchmark performance in game for this driver ? -
I too would be interested in the performance of these drivers.
Am currently running 180.42 from laptopvideo2go, and am experiencing a problem where i cannot wake up the laptop from sleep, and i believe it is an issue when using non dell nvidia drivers.
Would this fix my problem do you think?
By the way im running an M1530 with an 8600M GT -
-
