    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all, i have just changed the processor and gpu in my m1730 laptop. I am having problems with it in 3Dmark vantage and crashing in games.

I have changed the gpu from 2x 9800 gt cards to 2x 9800 gtx cards and the cpu from a core 2 duo T9500 to a core 2 duo extreme X9000.

When i run 3D mark vantage i have problems with the water shooting up in the air on the 1st test and graphics being very slow on the second test. I done this with no overclock on cpu or gpu. I have exchanged the gpu for another and still same problem.

When i had the last gpu and cpu i never had this problem and i overclocked the gpu as well and it was fine.

Iv been thinking this may be a voltage problem. If so could someone please confirm and help me fix this. Thanks.

Try checking your driver settings, and then try a fresh install of drivers

I have just changed the cpu back to my old T9500 cpu and the laptop works fine with the 9800m gtx card even when its overclocked so what could be the problem when im using the x9000?
