    500 GB 5400 RPM or 320 GB 7200 RPM?

    500GB > 320GB so if you need the extra space, get the 500GB

    7200RPM > 5400 RPM so if you want the drive to be a little faster in file access,get the 7200RPM.

    SSD> 7200 RPM, so if you really want the drive to be faster (and better in every way except price and amount of space) then get whatever is cheapest and switch a SSD into it.

    I went with the 320 Gb I mean my desktop from 2001 had 160 gbs and I never fully filled it so mhm, I think 320 is good for my needs

    During normal usage it will be impossible to notice any difference without a stopwatch or benchmark tool.

    During heavy multi tasking the 7200rpm will be faster.

    Techreport.com has done about 40 real world benchmarks with these drives.

    ..ok well since I already bought it, ease my mind :) What would you need 500 GB for anyway? Isn't that a bit over the top?

    For me it would be too much. Other people who download a lot of movies, music and play games it will come in handy.

    Oh I don't dl movies surfthechannel ftw :) I've never had more than 2 GB of music... and games? Don't you like buy CD's? oh yea well like steam

    Oh yeah forgot to say, the 7200rpm will be slightly faster with launching applications.
