I ordered my xps 1530 with 320GB SATA hard drive 7200 rpm. I found the western digital website a tad confusing regarding this issue, hoping someone can help me out here.
device manager lists it as: WDC WD3200BEVT-75ZCT2
is this the 7200 rpm or the 5400 rpm model? is there any other way to tell?
TIA.

"Fast and efficient - With 5400 RPM spin speed and 12 ms access time and up to 3 Gb/s SATA interface speed, even the most demanding customer will appreciate the performance achieved by WD Scorpio Blue drives."
Looks like 5400 RPM (Quote taken from WD Website). But your XPS 1530 may be an exception. I would clarify that will Dell, just to be on the safe side.

Newegg.com shows it as a 5400rpm model.

To find out for sure just pull out the 4 screws holding your hdd in and pull out your Hard Drive. Its very easy to do on the M1530 (just slides out), and look at the label on it to verify. It will say 5400rpm or 7200rpm. Then you will be able verify for sure what you got. -
Definitely 5400rpm model. 320GB 7200rpm models are either WD3200BEKT or WD3200BJKT. Check the drive label as well. If it's not what you paid for, contact Dell.
