So I managed to get my GPU up to 104 degrees C while playing Madden 08.
Reason enough for me to send it into Dell?
    What will they do?

BTW, I've already had the video card / mobo fail before (with the black screen and vertical lines). Will they take it before it fails on these high temperatures alone?

    mine (M1330 + nVidia 8400) goes to 104 on 3DMark06...

    if u dont like it,
    a) cooler
    b) copper mod
    c) send it back to dell for warranty, but the next one would also be like that unless Dell comes up with their own veresion of the copper mod

Alright, I thought it was abnormally high. (I have the 1330 too).
Well, I guess wait til it fails again. I still have 2 years left on my Complete Care warranty.

Mine goes exactly to 104 degrees as well. The thing is that after it reaches 104 degrees, it steps down a notch (you might notice ingame lag from time to time) cools down to about 90 degrees, and steps up to maximum performance again till it reaches 104, and the process is repeated. To be honest, this is no reason to return the laptop, although it would be better for the temp's to be lower, which you can obtain with copper modding, unless you want to mess with that kind of stuff, let it be :).
