    Hi!

I don't know if this question should be asked in another discussion board, but here goes.

My XPS 1530 has been excellent so far, I've had it for about 3 weeks, and it's been everything I'd hoped it would be.

I was tinkering around with newer Nvidia drivers a couple days ago, and according to the Nvidia Monitor, every single one of them down clocks my graphics card from 475/700 Mhz to 168/100. I've tried the new 177.70, 177.66, 175.80, and 175.19. In fact, after I installed these drivers, Audiosurf wouldn't even work properly. Now I had to roll back to the 169.09, the latest version on Laptopvideo2go without visiting the forums. Does anybody else have this problem with drivers?

Have you tried version 174.31?? You should be able to get it by doing 'update driver' or you can get it from laptopvideo2go as well. This one is (I know and I use this) supposed to be pretty stable and many people are kinda reverting back to this when the newer ones came up with some issues/problems. Also, you could probably try 174.74 or 175.76 or 175.97 but as far as I know many are pretty happy and pleased with 174.31. Good luck. Please do keep us informed of the latest.

Also, I just read in the laptopvideo2go community forum that for a few people with XPS M1530 and the graphics card like ours, v177.35 also worked well, though the original INF supports only [DEV_05E1] NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280, [DEV_05E2] NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, [DEV_084C] NVIDIA nForce 780a SLI, [DEV_084D] NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI... Probably they used the modded INF, but considering yours is a pretty new laptop I would stick with the ones you get from Dell (meaning at least with 174.31) because I heard most of this drivers released from the manufacturer have functions like hotkeys and stuff that are specific to our system. So..... I guess I would get in 174.31 and see how it goes.

Just go to the dell website and download 175.97, but go into the m1330 download and drivers page since the one on the m1530 isn't showing for some reason. 175.97 is both for the 8400 and 8600...if I remember correctly.

Are you using 175.97 right now? If yes, could you please tell us about the performance or any issues you faced?? Thanks.
