how good does the graphics look on a this laptop? I might consider this ugly looking notebook for gaming if I return my 1530.........so I'm curious how much difference is there in graphics for video games?![]()

You do know that those cards are in SLI right? It sounds like you think it is a single card.

Personaly, I had the m1730 and did not like it. I returned it for the laptop in my sig which shiped today.
I found the laptop to be heavy, overpriced and buggy. It just was not for me.
although you may like it more then I did. -
I say at the very least wait for 8800 gtx
-
i heard this notebook weighs like 11 lbs ?
-
Wait for the 8800GS to come out for it.
Don't expect the GTX... As of this moment it doesn't support the GTX, until it gets a BIOS updates and possibly a motherboard revision.
Don't agree? Look at the manual.. lol -
Dude, don't even bother. My Dad has a Precision M90, and it's too frickin' huge. Keep the XPS M1530. The 8600M GT will do you fine for a while.
-
Yeah it will.. Plus, we'll all be upgrading to 9 series equipped machines in the next 9 months.. SOOOOO... yea...
-
lol, I just wish laptops were upgradable when it came to graphics cards
I am really just playing with the idea, but I will probaby just get a higher resolution screen -
Graphics cards are upgradeable. In the 1520, 1730, 1720.. Problem is Dell doesn't make anything to upgrade too! So basically, we can rest at piece that if our current cards die from mass over clocking, we can pop in new ones from Dell. Obviously they'll be the same card though.
