    8700gt sli v 8800gt sli

    As the title reads.

    Can some one advise me on the difference in performance between the two

    I got th e8700 as i could not quite stretch to the 8800's and was wondering if i am missing a mind boggeling amount of difference. Also i have just upgraded from a vostro with 1x 8600 GT, so how does my new graphics comapre agianst 8800 sli and single 8600

    Do you mean 8800mGTX SLI?

    If you do... there is no contest, even ONE 8800m GTX will beat 8700m GT's in SLI. That's why they cost an extravagant amount....

    Yes, LOADS more... depends on if you want to sell part of your soul for it though ;)

    Take a look at this page for more info, but IMHO, there are better laptops than that dell, unless you are getting the 8800m cards.

    You have to remember not every game supports SLI and if you have one of the cards and you add another of the same identical card you don't get a linear boost. Most games support SLI now but you at most get 50% boost. Now if that HYDRA engine by lucid ever worked...
