    why is the studio xps 9 cell so cheap compared to the 1330? i need a 9 cell but am not willing to pay over $100 for it.

    its on sale i think, i dunno, i ordered my laptop at the beginning of February, and when it was first on their website it was $149.99 but now it is only $79.99. Go figure, glad I waited. I just ordered it and thought I would share my findings.

    I picked up a "refurb" oem 9-cell for my 1530 on ebay last week (a seller has about 10-12 left) for $55/shipped and its working great. Not that there was anything wrong with my 6-cell (just received my lappy last week too) but I couldn't pass it up.

    After much discussion with Dell, I got two. The one woman told me she applied the coupon, but did not. I canceled two orders, which will put me in the hole for a couple of days. Bah.

    That said, I still got two batteries for less than the cost of one. Can't complain about that much.

    OK can someone confirm if this battery is an either or situation? I checked out Dell configurator for the XPS 16 and noticed that you can add a second battery which is the 9 cell. When I look at the picture of the battery on Dell's site it doesn't appear to be the right shape, meaning it is flat. So now I am wondering if this 9 cell somehow connects to the laptop at teh same time as the stock battery. The review of this machine on this site seems to indicate that you can only have one battery and the Dell pic is wrong. Can someoen confirm?

    Yeah that is what I thought...I tried to look close at the review pic to see if there was a seam but I didn't see one but the resolution wasn't great. Too bad...if I could have done both I would have picked one of these up figuring I could work most of the day on battery. But increasing time from 2 and change hours to 3 and change isn't worth the price.
