Hi Im considering of buying the new dell xps as the spec seems amazing with the pricing. Only concern im having now is whether 900p screen is enough on the xps. Any advice is welcome :)Also can comment the dell xps in general, ie build quality.

these dell HD screens arent true hd right, they are 19x10. I mean its close. Thats what my sxps 1647 is anyways.

    I meant 1600x900.

Yes, to the normal consumer, true HD is anything 720p and above. There are many different screen sizes available in laptop configurations, but there are two screen standards that are the most common in laptops, projectors, and televisions. These are 720p and 1080p, both which have a 16:9 aspect ratio. The 720p screens are usually called HD screens, while the 1080p screens are now usually called FHD (Full HD). Look here for more info:

Are you talking the XPS15 or 17?? 900p is enough for a 15.6", but not good enough for a 17.1" Also, you have to take a look at the backlight. If you're talking the 1080p with B+RGLED, and the 900p with WLED, then take the 1080p even if it is a 15", more for the backlight than the resolution.
