OK so I have received my free windows 7 64bit upgrade disk from dell.
So before I did a clean install of windows while backing up only photos and videos. Anfter the win7 OS install, I installed the latest drivers, as well as latest display driver for Geforce 9400mg card.

Windows 7 itself looks great the menus are beautiful, the pictures are perfect but when playing vidoes its much more blurry, and more pixelated when in full screen, also noticed a difference in streaming videos as now they are a worse quality too. So then I uninstalled the dell's display drivers and installed the nvidia's official display drivers...... but same results :(

Note: Im on High Performance settings.
I've checked each settings carefully under High Performance settings and everything is as it should be.

The bad video playback occurs in Windows Media Player, and the latest VLC Player 1.0.3

I dont think I need to download any different codec packs since Windows7 should have its own default codecs that should work great for standard format videos. But I still followed someone's suggestion and downloaded Shark007 codec pack, and its same results.

Note: These same videos worked great in vista 64bit, I backed them up and now in Windows 7 its complete garbage..

Even dell's technical support doesnt know what to do.

Is anyone else suffering from this problem?

Or at least does anyone have GOOD VIDEO PLAYBACK WITH 9400MG??

    Thank You for your time.

I have the 9500M, but it mostly just runs on the integrated card and my videos all look great. Did you run driver sweeper or some other driver cleaner before changing gpu drivers?

He doesn't have the SLI option, just the integrated card. I'm running out of ideas on this one. New players and codecs aren't fixing it, drivers aren't fixing it.

True lol I dont have SLI... Thanks for your help Mr_Bots... I was curious to see if other pppl to have only 9400m physically, still have the same problems.... But it might be the same problem as many people had with dell.... like ex: back before A11 bios update some people had BSOD,,, and I didnt... and it was really random... so maybe this will be fixed in the future by new display drivers or even bios if thats possible.. or win7 patches....

Just for now it kinda sucks because I have this great new OS that is faster.... but I'll have to go back to the slower one (vista) because of video issues...... :(
