After a clean install of Win 8.1 Pro my device manager shows two instances of 9800m gtx but one of them has an exclamation. I have beed on the phone with Microsoft and Nvidia support and no success.

    Nvidia driver version 332.21

The BIOS shows one instance of the card but I am not sure if two are supposed to be there. Dell has a BIOS update to A11 and I have A10. Not sure if this update will fix it. Micro soft is supposed to call me back and I will update if it was resolved.

Did you try updating the driver manually on that card? I had this happen one time in the past on my m1730 and I was able to install the driver manually. It was just that driver that I had to do this, all newer driver installed fine.

No I did not. I eventually had more issues that required attention so I am going to save up to get an SSD. I think my IDE HD is failing also. BUt I will try again and if the same thing happens I would be interested in the manual install procedures. Can you please let me know or point me to where I can get them Thanks.

BTW: I see your signature says you have the bluetooth working with Win7 64bit. I never got that done. Which driver did you install to get that recognized correctly?

I am going to install Win764bit again. The hardware on this machine do not mix well with the software.

For Bluetooth I use the driver that windows install. At this time I am using windows 7 64bit but I have also used windows 8 and 8.1 64bit and all have installed the drivers for me.
I have not had any problems with mouse keyboard or headphones.
