I'm using the normal 720p screen and the following CCC Avivo settings give me the most natural color.

    Hue - 15
    Saturation - 105

Arguing with members here is a given man. Don't leave because of someone else. We all gotta celebrate together when our 4670 SXPS gets here :)

Why is the Dell logo on the SXPS 13 and SXPS 16 different?

here's a question for all you savy folks out there

i'm sure you might scoff at the notion that I am even asking this question but whats undervolting?

I've been seeing it as one of the solutions people have used for their hot sxps

another question, i duno what undervolting is exactly so this might sound stupid too, but wouldn't that make your cpu less powerful?

Hi Guys I was just wondering on what laptop backpack to get for my 16
I have already seen the laptop bag article on nbr but sadly we dnt get any of those here.
I was browsing thru the Targus Indian site and this is the best i could manage to pick out
    http://www.targusonline.com/productdetail.php?pid=229&cid=4&sid=4&ssid=13

although the bag supports Computer Compatibility Dimensions of
    36.4 x 30 x 4.3 cm

while the 16 has dimensions of
    38.5cm x 25.5cm x 2.4cm

so will it be a problem if i get this bag o.o

Has anyone tried to buy a laptop bag in India (to all the Indian Dell SXPS 16 owners..)

been awhile since i've checked in. My SXPS16 is still going strong with little to no problems.

That being said i see there is an update for vista 64 Service Pack 2. How is this thing working for our machines? Should I upgrade?

This is an excellent guide. I used it and significantly dropped my core temp. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=235824. It took quite a bit of time to do it right, but worth it. I posted my voltage drops and temp drops, but I can't point you to them because the search has been disabled in the forum for some reason.

LOL, the sales/customer service team finally got through to the tech team not to post until it's available. I'm sure they got TONS of calls/e-mails/chats on that topic :)

But it does offer some hope to all those waiting, looks like it wont be long now (even though people have been saying that for months :))

My router is upstairs in my office and I'm downstairs.

VERY happy with the improved speed, especially this far away. My M1530 was Wireless-N but not this fast.

    @Sandeep

Do you have any friends coming from the US, i got ma pal to get me a SXPS 16 from the US
500gb/1080p/4GBram/2.53/blu ray/3 years warranty for 80k (after converting it)

I still think the 75k is quite good, whenever i configured mine it would hit 1 lac all the time without tax >.<

I would suggest you to get the 1080p screen if you can afford it cause its worth it yaar.

Getting it from the from a friend who is returning frm the US is the best way though IMO.

Ya 1080p is very good screen,no doubt abt it....But wid that screen it costs me 80k to 82k and that extra 7k is way heavy for my pocket..and am using this machine widout bluray disc,so regular dvd movie watching seems good wid 720p and am goin to install linux(First on vm`s then later on main machine),Heard that 1080p screen has made reading bit annoying....
Just spoke wid dell guy and tried to convince him for 70k INR wid the specs mentioned in ma post earlier. He wil get back to me,wid the revised quote by today evening, wil keep ya guys updated on this.
Ah....In us The price is neat and nice u getting one from ya frd....I dont have anyone comin back in near future,my sis wud be comin by Dec and cant hold that long... :)

Maybe you can get it cheaper at the outlet, try telling them you already got a quotation for 75k from Dell.

You still get the warranty when you buy from Croma ?

i think the 4670 might come with windows 7 upgrade which is next week.

dell would obviously remove it as its not out yet and people are seeing the 2 gpu's and waiting for the option to be availible so sales are going down.

    do you think they might add any of this: t9900 3.06ghz, p9600 2.66ghz,p9500 2.52ghz and p9700 2.8ghz?

Is it safe to use Windex to clean the screen? There are bits of grime that dont seem to be coming off with my usual breath and microbfibre cleaning technique. Thanks.

I don't think we'll see an update until at least July. They have their 20% instant rebate still going until the 26th and they usually extend it again once it ends. Who knows, we may not even see it until the fall refresh line is released. I've been looking around for alternatives already (with more powerful GPUs), just need to find the right one that can deliver a good balance between aesthetics and performance.

no, until dell say they are giving windows7 upgrade ith there laptops, you wont get it.
them being the larest pc seller, they will announce it quickly and maybe on the 26th or the next closest upgrade day 9every thursday in the uk and saturday in usa?)

monday is before the 26th so you wont definitly get it as they will probably ship windows 7 as part of the order so it will need to be availible and part of your order when you buy the laptop.

Just yesterday, very late in the night, I found some audio customization stuff. It had all the surround sound virtualisation and bass stuff and was brightly coloured as I remember it.

Did I just dream this or does it actually exist because I can't find it and it would do wonders to the sound

Actually HP is the largest PC manufacturer, they hold a 6% lead over Dell. In terms of customer satisfaction, this is the break down:
Guess Dell's India outsourcing hasn't helped them much. I wouldn't count on seeing the 4670 on the 26th..maybe a Windows 7 upgrade but that's about it. I hope I'm wrong though.

I really don't know how to bring it up except to plug something into the microphone jack. That program does port monitoring so it automatically opens. Then I go into preferences, settings and general to check show system tray. But this only keeps it there temporarily.

I think there must be another way, I managed to get to it without plugging anything in to the microphone port but it's not on the start menu or anything which is a bummer, I could really do with some of those effects

Edit: I looked on programs and features and found this "creative advanced audio" thing, it doesn't come up under the start menu, I'm assuming this is it
