I've had the laptop since early April and so far I have not downloaded any drivers off the Dell website. I know you're supposed to and I have entered my tag number for it to give me a more tailored list of things I need. I know there is an order of drivers to download, and presumably you only need to download the ones you want and need?
From an untrained eye, I can pick out things that seem the most important (like chipset, bios) - is this the right way to go about it however? The list is huge and everything in all categories seems pretty much recommended for download and alot of these downloads are huge in Mbs.
adv thx

I usually install these drivers and in this order:
Chipset
Video
Audio
Ethernet
Wireless (update from Intel, if you have an Intel card)
Touchpad
Bluetooth
Card Reader
Quickset
Other things
Order doesn't matter too much, though. -
Check if the posting date is after your laptop shipped. If it is, the driver is probably new. If it isn't, no need to download it unless you have a problem.
