^^Thanks, I have A16 now and trying to revert to A12 but can't seem to install this. It gives me the same message as the one I have on file. This is what it reads on the popup:

Platform system ID and platform name check error: Running on an unsupported system.

    System BIOS Upgrade Information:
Cannot find any matched product in supporting list!

    Current System BIOS Information:
    System: L702X (1393)
    Revision: A16
    Vendor: DELL SYSTEM

    ...then...

    Msg176: Abort:Running on an unsupported system.(FFFFFF91h).

I have no problems using A14 and A16.

I like A16. The fan speed is not as annoying as it use to be. It spins up much less. A14 is garbage so if you have that you should update to A16.

Yup, it sure did. It ran all the way until my temps dropped to 39-40C, which is a good thing, but slightly annoying.

    It's good but annoying lol.

Did you ever revert back to A12?

No I couldn't revert back to A12 because for some reason the new system that Dell replaced (Jan. 2012) would not take it. It originally came with A14. My old system which I configured back in late Nov. 2011 came with A12. I think the newer systems are built to run on A14 and later BIOS updates.

Oh I see. I thought about converting back to A12 but in all honesty I'm afraid. I already had the Hard Drive die on me in less then 6 months ago a week ago and the left click button messed up. I'm just going to stick with A12 because I don't want to be without it again until the fix it. The way my luck has gone it will mess up lol.

Second that. I notice opening Chrome would cause the fans to speed up. Also they don't even have a16 on the Dell site anymore.
