While on the phone telling the rep I didn't want to load A10 unless I could revert back, she gave me this site:

    Drivers and Downloads

You can click other versions and go back to 7 if you felt the need..... Thought some might find this helpful.

I'm running A10 and I still only get the CPU throttling after about 5mins of game play. GPU is 84.5 degrees and CPU is 84 degrees. The throttling is always the same, with the glitching sounds coming from the speakers and near instant frame rate drop, not gradual.

for throttling issues you should download BIOS A07 or later.. and make sure you have a 130W power supply.

and don't forget that the power option is set to High performance

Odd...I just got gpu throttling for the first time. My max temp in HWmonitor was 77 degrees (using external monitor with screen closed). Guess I will be going back to A09.

May I ask how you managed to accomplish this seeing as RivaTuner only works for changing clock options on nVidia cards?

How do you set the power option to High preformance? Also I just downloaded the A10 BIOS and my FPS in games like Mass Effect 2 is 20-25 at 1600X900, should I download the A07 BIOS or revert back to the A09 BIOS?!

You should be using A09 BIOS and turn your resolution down to 1280x720.

How exactly DOES one revert to A09 from A10?

Hey so did I make a mistake by going to A10 since it tells me that I can't downgrade.... Also I see in your signature that you have "catalyst 10.6" what is this and shoud I get this as well? We have the exact same rig so if your preformance is any good I want to be able to match it.

Maybe 5 years ago but RivaTuner has been available for ATI cards for quite some time...
