    Hi,
I am new to this site and i am looking for some serious help....
    I bought a Dell XPS 16, with 2.53 GHz prossor and a 512 ATI HD3670 graphics card.
I partioned my hard disk and installed XP on one of the partition. XP installed fine, updated fine from microsoft, validate to an original copy and everything fine, except for m graphics card part of it...i downloaded the xp driver from ATI website amd tried to install it, but itjust wouldn't do it....i tired display only drivers, the full catlyst driver packk no use....every single time i install it it gives me a error message "setup did not find a driver compatible with your currrent hardware or operating system, setup will exit now"..
this is wat i get every single time.. i even tried installing the Vista version just in case..but no luck..
in my device manager there are a few items with a yellow question mark, one of them is the the VGA Controller...no i have no idea where to download this from..
is there anyone that can help me...please...
    thanx

ATI dont provide mobile drivers - they let the notebook manufacturers do it.

if dell havent got an XP ATi driver - I can only suggest trying one of the modified drivers from someone like Omega at driverheaven.net

Then why not just go with the Driver from Dell, you can download it from here.

Mate dont you think i have tried it :p ..if you go to Dell website they will ask your service tag..or if you select an XPS16 from the driver menu..the only option on the OS is Vista 32 bit or Vista 64 bit..no XP..so thats no good...
now i decided one thing i am going to buy an original XP cd and do a clean installation and see if that works...
thanx for your input anyway mate... :) :)

    hmm maybe thats the point...

i'm also using xp right now, installinbg the driver was easy for me.

    like the link above sai

1)start ati setup, wait until it extracted everything to C:/ATI, then cancel the setup (when it asks u to presss "install" or something)

2)use mobilitymodder to mod the files

3)go to C:/ATI/SUPPORT/*some cryptic foldername*/ and click on the setup.exe

done! or at least should be...
