After I installed CCC 10.4, the hydravision tab in CCC is gone. I tried reinstall hydravision, but still can't get the hydravision tab back.
Does anyone have the same problem as me?

wow, it's working, i can play L5.1 videos with dxva, cool, this is the best drivers since years :)
note: i needed to restart my computer after installation to have the driver properly working, it didn't want to come back from 640*480 mode.
note2: use MPC-HC svn 1821, and use latest haali splitter with ‘Use custom media type for H.264′ set to ‘No’

I separately tried to install Hydravision package but I still cant see the tab for it.

Has someone able to make it work??
It hasnt even worked in 10.3.

GTA Episodes from Liberty City still runs like s#!t. I guess application profile is needed or a new patch from R*

Yo gah or iata, is the HDMI audio driver now included in the package? When I search the AMD site I can only find the HDMI audio driver for XP...

Its not listed for Vista/7 ??

It's not included in the Mobility 10.4 driver package. So what you have to do, like what bipul sorta said in his last post above, is also download the desktop 10.4 drivers from here . Then after installing the mobility driver, run the desktop one, use the "custom" install and you should see that the HDMI Audio driver is ticked. Install that and you should be good. I still don't know why ATI doesn't include those in their mobility drivers.

Oh its a desktop thing, that's why. I was trying to figure it out forever because I've had the driver before. Thanks man, I actually suspected it was a mobility thing... that totally makes sense and literally I can sleep tonight, haha! cheers!

    Yes of course.

Just about any media player will allow you to output audio over HDMI.

That was the point of HDMI. It was originally a CE (consumer electronic, meaning NOT COMPUTER) standard for TVs to replace the aging DVI. It basically took the video of dvi (up to FullHD) and married it to the sound of fiber-optic/digital coax (5.1 discrete sound channels) in the form of one cable connector. Because of its popularity, convenience (pre displayport) and the "HD" craze, hdmi is now used with computers, even though it was never meant to be.

I really feel like the best possible connection from a computer to a computer monitor (NOT A TV) is DVI or Displayport. Don't get me wrong, HDMI is great on computers, so long as its plugged into a TV and not a "Monitor". HDMI doesn't play well with computer monitors because of all the HDCP stuffs, bad scaling, overscan etc.

I installed the 10.4 CCC package on my machine, windows 7 64-bit

The log file showed every thing as successful.

But when i start the CCC from start menu it fails to start. I saw in Task manager that the ccc and mom process are created for few seconds and then die off.

    anybody got this problem ?

Done that a couple of times...no good.

Then i found out the solution on one of AMD forum, the problem is with the uninstaller packed with the 10.4 CCC setup. It is not able to uninstall the previous CCC release properly.

So to get the 10.4 CCC working i first uninstalled the CCC, the CC install manager and the driver through Revo uninstaller in advanced mode.

Then renamed the folders with name ATI* in C:\Program Files and C:\Progtam Files(x86).

    Then ran the setup again.

This time every thing went fine and CCC was launched in a snap.

Deleted the renamed folders after wards.

I can't find an Avivo HD download for the 4670. Any help? ATI's website lists versions for the Mobility 2000 and 3000 series, and the non-mobility 4000 series, but not the mobility 4000 series.
