I'm currently on the customizaiton page for the XPS M1530, and it doesn't indicate that the 256MB on the 8600M is GDDR3--it actually has no indication of the type of RAM. However, if I look at the M1730, all the graphics cards indicate GDDR3.

Does this mean that the M1530 actually ships with GDDR2?

    No.

Dell XPS M1530 comes only with GDDR3 type of 8600M GT.
