Holy $#!&...I'm in a state of massive rage at the moment.

I noticed I've been getting a lot of WoW exception errors.

So I decided to install some new graphic drivers for my 8600GTm in my m1530.

BUT! Whatever driver I try to install, ALWAYS comes up with this bloody error:

I'm following the have disk methods as told by laptop2go, but I can't get this working!

Please help me before I break something...

You don’t need to update the driver manually through device manager (have disk, etc..). Just download and extract the driver from laptopvideo2go, then replace nv4_disp.inf with the correct modified version (also available at laptopvideo2go), finally run the setup.exe. BTW you’d need administrative rights to install drivers.

    Yeah I'm using the modded.inf.

    I'll try the setup.

And also, I'm the only user of my PC so it's not limited.

    EDIT

Replaced the inf and ran the setup.

It's not installing my 8600GT, it just says Standard VGA? ?

Since you are the only account on your laptop, this may not be a permission issue. Which driver version from LaptopVideo2Go did you try to install? Operating system?

Ok I just tried 163.69 and it worked...

    I had tried a few 170's and 180's and they wouldn't work.

    This is really confusing.
