I spilled water all over my XPS M1530 and it died just a few days ago. (Sad, just a little over 3 years in use.) I still have about 200 days left on the Complete Care warranty.

I was wondering if anyone knows what computer they are replacing this with these days? Is it the XPS 15 or the XPS 15z?

(I recently bought a ENVY 15 anyways, but just trying to get advice whether to call in now and just get whatever Dell replaces it with or whether to wait a little longer before calling in if they may replace it with something better a month or two from now.)

    Any thoughts appreciated! Thanks!

I don't think you will get a replacement system unless it's really messed up. Unless they are somehow out of some relevant M1530 part, they will most likely repair the machine and send it back to you.

Now I obviously don't know if Dell has already cleaned out their M1530 parts stocks, but as far as I know they still have plenty of similarly aged D630 parts...
