Hey guys, I'm looking at buying a new XPS 15 but I'm unsure as to what specs I should get. I mainly use my laptop to do school work and play games like SC2, league of legends, team fortress 2, etc.
For processor speed: I feel like i7 is the way to go, but what i7 is the best for its value? I was thinking i7-2620M 2.70gHz.
For RAM, is 6 GB good or should I be getting 8?
And lastly for graphics card... NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 525M 1GB graphics with Optimus is the default, is it worth it to pay 100 extra for the NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 540M 2GB graphics with Optimus?
Thanks for any advice you have.

dunno about processor
6gm of ram is more than enough for most things these days (in my opinion). unless you're doing some heavy video editing or some other heavy "professional" applications.
If you want to compare the video cards check out:
NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M - Notebookcheck.net Tech
NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M - Notebookcheck.net Tech
the 540M and the 525M are based on the same core/chip except the 540M is clocked *slightly* higher (600mhz vs 672Mhz) which makes it slightly faster and if you look at the websites above, it has some benchmarks for games and it looks like the 525m can probably handle starcraft 2 at high settings.
also 1gb vs 2gb of video ram between the two cards is kindof negligible. the cards aren't fast enough to efficiently make use of all 2gb i think and not alot of games use close to 1gb of vram.
