I had my dell xps 15 replaced in July after it had damages. I sent in the old system at the beginning of the month and had a new Studio XPS 16 sent to. This new system keeps freezing and also will not boot sometimes. I tried to get service on this system and they are telling me there is an exchange hold on my account. What would cause this and how/who do i contact to get this off immediately. This is an error on their part as my old laptop was in their possession for 3 weeks before i received my new one. This really makes me not was to buy a dell again when i find out 3 months later they have a hold on my account so i cant get service.

Just call tech support and give them the tracking number/proof of sent out system.

You might get a run around depending on who autorized the exchange though. Either way, you will have to contact Dell and get it resolved by being transferred few times.
