On top of the many endless other crap that comes with my XPS17 L702x, I have this very annoying ticking and light clicking sound from the screen bezel area, particularly towards the bottom edge by the hinge area. Whenever I type, the screen would lightly flap normally like any other big 17" screen but it produces this light rapid click-tick-tick-click-tick and ticking sound and it's driving me insane! I tried tighten up (and loosen) the internal and external screws, removed the black bezel and lightly greased the bottom area but no help. Anyone experiencing this annoying feature?

That might be the glue holding the faceplate on coming loose, try setting a SMOOTH credit card on the screen and trace the inner edges with it. If you find a spot that is deeper or "sticky" wedge the card in there just enough to stay in place and try typing. If the clicking goes away fold a small piece of paper up and wedge it in there.

Not the most scientific fix but it might work lol.
