Whenever I play the games Counter-Strike: Source, Team Fortress 2 or Unreal Tournament 3, the sound goes out on my laptop. The problem starts whenever I start playing the game. Afterwards, I still can't hear anything even though my volume is all the way up and nothing's on mute. However, this problem doesn't happen to me whenever I play The Witcher. Do you guys know what might be the problem?

Might want to post relevant specs (Sigmatel driver ver, sys specs, etc.).

Have you tried reinstalling Steam? Could be a corrupt file somewhere... Worth a try...

Well it's the Sigmatel driver version 6.10.5614.0000. The computer has a T8300 processor, 8600M GT, 4 GB RAM.

I would try to reinstall Steam but that takes really long with my computer's internet connection...

    *EDIT*

I resolved the issue by downloading the newest drivers from Dell's website.
