First of all, sorry for all the problems I've put onto you guys. I appreciate the help you've given me.
Now onto my problem:
When I talked on the phone to the Dell representative, I asked for Vista Ultimate to be put onto my laptop. Assuming it was on the order confirmation, I didn't go through every detail on it.
So when I received my laptop I found out it had Vista Home Premium installed rather than Ultimate. I asked support and they said since my order confirmation said Home Premium, I was unable to get Ultimate. [I'm not sure what they mean by CONFIRMATION. They never confirmed it with me before actually ordering I believe.] Since it's an oversight on Dell's part and mine I guess, I figured they would be able to send it to me. However, they're now saying since it wasn' on the order confirmation, I can't get it.
Any opinions or am I stuck with Home Premium?

did u even pay for vista ultimate? it costs $ to upgrade u know... and dell would list the upgrade in ur invoice
if not, monitor slickdeals.net ... ultimate upgrade sells for maybe $80 if u get the right time -
Confirmation would refer to the actual list when you ordered (before you paid), which show up on your invoice/receipt and packing slip. If Vista Ultimate was never on the confirmation list, then it's really your own carelessness to have overlooked it when you ordered. If Vista Ultimate in on the list, then you can prove dell wrong and get it changed for what you paid for.

Ah, ok. Yeah, it's definately an overlook on my part, though I thought I did tell them.
Is there any way to get Dell's Product RED extras on my own copy of Vista Ultimate? [I actually have my own.] -
Yeah you can d/l them. It is only the two gadgets, a few jpgs for wallpaper and a dreamscene video. I actually d/l them and after checking them out never use them. There is even a way to get dreamscenes on Vista versions besides Ultimate using a hack or something without using the third party solutions. I actually have Ultimate so I never looked into it too closely. I mainly bought Ultimate for the fax features but I have since bought a standalone fax. What do you want Ultimate for?

I was thinking along the lines of the Dell Dock, and the Dell Performance Center thing.

Sweet, so I can just install my own version of Vista Ultimate and it should all be fine. Thanks very much guys!
