    Any Chi Mei LCD screen owners of XPS M1730?

    WoW, i guess nobody has one, plenty of views, but no answers. LOL
    They should start using them those scamerz!
    All they seem to use is budget screens.

    My 1730's both have Samsung LCD panels and they are beautiful. I do have a CMO in one of my Latitudes and I have seen them in the Vostro systems. The CMO panels I have seen are low-end budget panels for sure.

    Nope, no Chi Mei since they make only LED screens for dell. M1730 does not have LED option. :)

    My Chi Mei LED backlit on the M1530 is definitely far from 'low-end budget'. Not sure about non LED's though..

    i like chi mei screens myself. i have them on numerous notebooks and would not trade them for anything. i def camt say the same for the crap samsung i got with my 1730

    Chi Mei is the #1 screen manufacturer in Taiwan. Best in quality.

    Thats like saying XPS is just a "Budget Line HP notebook"

    I do not have an LED panel in an M1530 but I can promise you the non-LED CMO panels that are used in the Latitudes are budget panels.
