    Hi Everyone,

I have ordered, almost a month ago, a fully loaded 1645 with an i7, 8GB, 500GB, RGB screen. I've been reading the threads about this machine and am concerned about it, because it seems to have a lot of problems, like throttling and heat. There also appear to be some problems with the RGB screen that are not yet "announced".

I am seeking to do multimedia production with this machine using Adobe CS4, as well as various audio/video applications. I might play games from time to time, but my focus is really in production and running virtual machines for things like programming and office programs.

Can anyone please share their experiences with this machine?

I am slightly torn thinking I should just cancel the order and wait for the next gen or get an HP or something.

    Many thanks,
    Mike

In my experience running Multiple VM's, Video Editing and Encoding/ Decoding HD Video, I have had Zero Issues. This machine will run all day long for the type of work that I do.

I have yet to regret my purchase.

    Hi DanP,

Thank you for your reply and letting me know about your enjoyment of your computer. It's nice to hear a thumbs up :)

I'm patiently awaiting the build and delivery of my machine, which is specced very similarly to yours...

    All the best,
    Mike

I just received mine yesterday, the screen look and feel are amazing. This Friday I will be re-installing OS and installing software. So I don't know about performance but the look will bring a tear to the eye! :D
