As you might know from my other posts i am thinking of getting xps m1530 but my budget is fairly low(hopefully not much more that $1200 with tax and shipping) and i was wondering if i can get a discount for being homeschooled or if my mom can for being my teacher? THANKS :)

Man I bet you have to carry that laptop far across campus!

But really, why a laptop if you're homeschooled?

Also, I doubt Dell will give either of you a discount. It's worth a try for her to call and ask, but I doubt it.

I want a laptop because my dad likes dragging me to the beach and rock climbing and i am not a huge fan of either of those so i might take it there. And i would like a computer that i dont have to share with my brother and sister.

definitely do not bring your computer near large rocks or the beach. it will end up getting destroyed.

why not get an asus eee pc or something comparable?

As an XPS M1330 owner, I am going to say right now that the M1x30 laptops are not very durable. I'd go with something from Sager personally... the computer store I work in is a Compal reseller and they're sturdy notebooks, much moreso than dells.
