Any idea when XPS 1530 will be discounted again?

I didn't pull the trigger a few weeks ago when they were offering a discount, along with a "free" 9 cell battery. Any idea when they will go on sale again? I really want to buy a new laptop.

I will check again, but I didn't see the M1530 on sale.

 

It is on sale every week or so. They always have a promotion. A few times a year they will have some incredible promotions.

Yep, definitely don't purchase when their isn't a discount. You just have to be decisive when a good deal pops up.

I checked again, and it is currently on sale. However, they are only offering it with 4gb of memory (can't change this option) and it comes with a 6-cell battery - unless I want to pay another $169 for the 9-cell (which I don't).

I may wait for another sale then . . .

 

The 9-cell battery is going to be much more expensive for a while. The battery shortage shot the prices through the roof. They're trying to discourage people from getting different/multiple batteries right now because they hardly have enough to build the computers.

 

Yep, I was lucky I got the 9 cell when it was a free upgrade. Even if they never have another free upgrade to the 9 cell, there should still be some killer deals if you keep an eye out. Usually they'll have banners on the Dell site linking to the deal. Sometimes there is different deals going on at once and you gotta figure out which one is a better config for the price for your needs. I had to choose between the 10 Days of Dell Deals XPS M1530, the regular $600 off XPS M1530, and the 25% coupon. The 10 days of Dell deals was the best deal for me at the time.

 

lol i was originally gonna order a m1530 with ok-ish specs. on the SAME day i was about to order it...i was surfin the web and found this page...clicked around for a few mins and stumbled on the 25% coupon. about 2 hours later, i placed an order on a WAY better spec'd m1530 for about the same price lol.

fyi: i placed my order on 6/11. it has been delayed twice so far. new ship date: 7/10. i called them *****in about it and the rep told me that my laptop was waitin for a battery right now...i mean a friggin battery...rediculous.

 

That sucks Houstoned, did you order on the 10 Days of Dell Deals promotion? That's when I got mine and it came w/ a 9 cell. Mine was delayed once but not twice. It actually shipped about halfway between the original ship date and the delayed date too.

 

not sure which deal was goin on but i remember it was one of the last days of 25% off...i said 25%??? i can't pass that up and ordered right after =P
