I know that the TB15 dock (under a different model number I believe) was available for a few days but was quickly pulled off the market when a lot of users had trouble with the product. Does anyone have any information about if and when it will reemerge?

    Thanks!

I have the 240W version and it's been working fine for me after ASMedia USB 3.0 driver was updated. Also I'm not sure if the item went out of stock or if it was removed from sale. You may need to contact Dell to see when it would become available again.

I have contacted them...no help. I hope it comes back before my Dell Advantage gift cards expire!

That's what I used to get mine. I had $250 gift card for buying Dell u3415w and there were two 10% off coupons available recently so ended up paying ~$10 for mine after tax. I'm still waiting for 5% reward for this purchase from Dell.

The TB15 Dock is back on Dell's site for sale! The name confusion is gone too because they are actually calling the dock TB15 this time around.

Typical Dell service: Ordered the TB15 on 2/17/16. The Dell website said "normally ships in one day". Had to order it over the phone due to using 2 different Dell Gift Cards. Sales support person, super helpful, place my order for me. I asking for second day shipping since I'm a Dell Advantage customer. She tells me I'd actually get one day shipping and should have the dock on 2/19/16. She says I will get an email confirmation and we hung up. The phone call order took a very long time, like 20min., but I was happy that the order had been placed. Of course, as is my usual experience when I place phone order with Dell, I never got any sort of email confirmation. 2/19 comes and goes with no package. I do an order search on Dells website and it says the status is in Pre-Production and my delivery date is now 2/24/16. It also says it will come via 7-day shipping. None of this math adds up of course. So I call Order Support and again speak with a very kind and helpful person. She sets up a support ticket, says someone will call me back, but does not really have any information about why the Dell website still says the TB15 is available to ship in one day and why I have not been shipped a unit. Today I looked at the Dell Shopping page and can't even find the TB15 listed in the Docks section. My order is still listed as Pre-Production. Of course, nobody from Dell Customer Service every called or emailed back with any information about my service ticket. The process of ordering and receiving my 9550 was very similar. It's a very frustrating and dissatisfying shopping experience. I'm regretting not making the switch to Apple this time around.

As of now I can see TB15 on Dell's website and it states Usually Ships: in 1-3 days.

When I ordered mine I was supposed to get it in 2 business days through Advantage program but it didn't arrive for about a week after they indicated it shipped in my account. It turned out to be a delay on FedEx. Item didn't even leave Tennessee FedEx facility until 5 days later. I've not had many problems with UPS but FedEx seems unreliable more often than not with their delivery time frames.

As for Dell's customer support, while I'm sure your experience will depend heavily per each rep you work with but so far I'm not very impressed. I have yet to get my 5% Advantage reward for purchase of TB15 at the beginning of February and I've inquired with customer service about this and all they say is it's been escalated with no other useful follow up information.

My order status was finally updated. It now says my TB15 is estimated to arrive by 3/7/16. Then a consent form popped up which asked me to agree or not with wanting to wait longer for the order. I guess if you have to wait too long, they are suppose to cancel and refund the order unless you agree to extend the wait. I'm just glad I received an update so I know now that my order has not fallen through the cracks. But still, I've never gotten one email regarding the order, not that the order was made, not that it was delayed then delayed again. I've only found any order info at all by doing an Order Status search. Keep calling about the Advantage Reward rebate. I had to call multiple times to get Rewards Gift Cards for my laptop and monitor purchases

Good alternative to TB15 if you can wait may be Razer Core when that gets released. I'm thinking it'll be ~$200 to $300. It may be overkill for some but it does give you ability to add in desktop caliber graphics card with ethernet, multiple USB 3.0 and thunderbolt 3 port.Only thing that may be lacking is audio out.

Perhaps but closest thing I can go by is the price of Alienware's version is $199 on Amazon. Since it will have thunderbolt 3, ethernet and extra usb3 ports so I could see it being little more but can't imagine it being double especially it doesn't come with the graphics card.
